The countries of the Asia-Pacific region face a diverse range of social and economic challenges, and HP is committed to applying our expertise and resources to areas where they can achieve the greatest impact. In Asia-Pacific and across the globe, HP’ global citizenship initiatives focus on:

| HP’s environmental history dates back long before the widespread global concern of more recent years and we have a keen focus on addressing one of the most serious problems of our time – climate change. From ensuring substantial reductions in our own footprint, to making it easier for our customers to minimize their impact on the environment, our Asia Pacific team is applying our heritage of innovation to address this urgent global issue. |
HP was founded as a micro enterprise by two college classmates, so it is fitting that education and entrepreneurship remain at the heart of our social investment program. We firmly believe in the transformational potential of education to address many of the Asia-Pacific region’s pressing social issues, from poverty to discrimination. In Asia-Pacific this commitment extends from helping enhance traditional educational institutions, to working with micro entrepreneurs to develop new routes to learning and subsequent income opportunities. |

| HP is a staunch advocate of human rights and fair labour practices and we are committed to promoting higher standards in our supply chain. Nowhere is this more important than in Asia Pacific where the majority of our suppliers are based. Our work in the region includes regular audits, environmental reporting, training programs and engagement with stakeholders across the supply chain, to ensure they maintain the same rigorous standards that we require of ourselves. |
