Our commitment to the community

In 1940, one of our founders said that building shareholder value required more than a focus on profit. He said it also required making a contribution to customers, employees and the wider community.

67 years on, this principle underpins HP’s commitment both in Australia and around the globe.

Locally we have partnerships with Mission Australia, Conservation Volunteers Australia and Social Ventures Australia.

» Mission Australia

Mission AustraliaWith more than 320 services across metropolitan, rural and regional Australia, in every state and territory, Mission Australia aims to empower disadvantaged and isolated individuals, families and communities by giving them the support they need to get back on track, and lead more fulfilling lives.

Services are centred on:

  • Family support initiatives for families and children in need;
  • Youth initiatives for disadvantaged young people;
  • Housing support initiatives for homeless people and those at risk of homelessness;
  • Employment and training initiatives for the long-term unemployed; and
  • Community building initiatives that help strengthen and empower entire communities.

» Conservation Volunteers

Conservation VolunteersConservation Volunteers is Australia’s leading practical conservation organisation. Since 1982 Conservation Volunteers has fulfilled its mission to attract and manage a force of volunteers in practical conservation projects for the betterment of the environment. Conservation Volunteers has 23 offices across Australia and are now also in New Zealand.

» Social Ventures Australia

Social Ventures Australia (SVA), an independent non-profit organisation established in 2002, is a new and unique model of social investment that aligns the interests of philanthropists with the needs of social entrepreneurs to combat some of Australia's most pressing community challenges.
